Master Artists and their Work.
The following list is contrived of essential artists I will expose my introductory art students with. In order to be successful, I teach the elements and principles of art through the observation and understanding of master artists and their work. Because I am currently located in Kansas, I make a point of including well known Kansas Artists.
Depending on the subject, the artists discussed will likely alter. I believe that students must have successful models in order to understand how they themselves might succeed. In studying art history, I am able to facilitate my students in their ability to discover methods of success on their own after I teach them how to do so. These artists and their works will be taught throughout the semester of my beginning students.
I will discuss artists like Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Rene Magritte, Salvidor Dali, and much much more!
